College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). School of Professional Education and Executive Development
Research Assistant (Ref. 260925-02)
[Appointment period: twelve months, with possibility of extension]
Duties
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the Research Grants Council (RGC) funded project - “Development of Ultra-Broadband Airflow Transparent Noise Barrier by Combining Meta-Resonance System and Highly Absorptive Units”. He/She will be required to:
(a) conduct literature review, data collection and analysis;
(b) assist in collecting, analysing and presenting data from work undertaken, and
(c) perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably in Acoustic, Sound and Vibration, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related disciplines, and
(b) strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Possession knowledge of hardware communication and integration using MATLAB and/or LabVIEW will be an advantage;
