College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Research Assistant (Ref. 260724-02)
[Appointment period: six months]
Duties
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the Research Grants Council (RGC) funded project - “From Play to Health: Enhancing Elderly Engagement with Exergames Through Affordance and Goal Framing Theories - A Longitudinal Study and Experiments in Hong Kong”. He/She will be required to:
(a) conduct literature review, data collection and analysis;
(b) assist the project team in complying with the project objectives, scope, timetable, and the expected deliverables;
(c) assist in collecting, analysing and presenting data from work undertaken;
(d) provide support for survey processes, including administering surveys/interviews and maintaining survey databases;
(e) conduct study and research topics for the production of educational materials, and
(f) perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) an honours degree or an equivalent qualification;
(b) proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis software;
(c) good organisational and analytical skills, and
(d) strong communication and interpersonal skills.
