College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees the operation and development of its two educational units, namely Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education.

School of Professional Education and Executive Development

Research Assistant (Ref. 260717-01)

[Appointment period: twelve months, with possibility of extension]


Duties


The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the Research Grants Council (RGC) funded project - “Development of a Cloud-based Fuzzy Assessment Framework for Smart Age Friendly Housing for Middle Class Elderly in Hong Kong”. He/She will be required to:


(a) conduct literature review, data collection and analysis;

(b) assist the project team in complying with the project objectives, scope, timetable, and the expected deliverables;

(c) provide support for survey processes, including administering surveys/interviews and maintaining survey databases;

(d) be responsible for the planning and organisation of the related events of the project such as workshops, talks, exhibitions and tours, etc., and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


Applicants should have:


(a) an honours degree or an equivalent qualification;

(b) proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis software;

(c) good organisational and analytical skills;

(d) strong communication and interpersonal skills, and

(e) positive work attitude, self-motivation and a sense of responsibility.
