College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees the operation and development of its two educational units, namely Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education.

Assistant Information Technology Officer (E-learning) (Ref. 260626-03)
Duties
The appointee will be required to:
(a) administer, configure and maintain the College’s Learning Management System, including course provisioning, enrolment, access control, etc;
(b) manage the upload, version control and timely publication of course materials, teaching plans and assessment artefacts;
(c) provide e-Learning support to academic staff and student, and ensure online course readiness;
(d) set up Generative AI inference engine using a local LLM, including dataset preparation and fine-tuning;
(e) develop LLM and AI Agent applications using RAG, Multi-Agent and Agentic AI architectures;
(f) build data-processing and ETL pipelines for GenAI applications, and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) a recognised degree in Information Technology, Computing Studies or a related discipline;
(b) two years of relevant post-qualification experience;
(c) experience in designing and developing AI chatbot using local LLM;
(d) good knowledge of Python, HTML, CSS, Javascript, llama.cpp, LangChain, LangGraph, Unsloth, LanceDB, Neo4j, ZenML, and Apache Airflow, and
(e) good interpersonal and communication skills.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.
Conditions of Service
An attractive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a two-year contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
